What I believe

• Human life is sacred, and we must build a culture that nurtures and protects the innocent and the vulnerable.
• Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman.
• The 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees our right to own firearms.
• The US Supreme Court and the federal judiciary should strictly interpret the Constitution and laws of this country instead of writing legislation from the bench.
• The Republican Party of Texas (“RPT”) is the lead organization in Texas for advancing conservative, Republican principles, and electing candidates of every background who share a fundamental commitment to our nation’s founding principle that all men are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
• The county Republican organizations are the bedrock of the State Party and are absolutely essential to our success as a Party.
• Auxiliaries play an essential role in the RPT and must be given a greater voice in the Party.
• Small business is the life-blood of our economy, and protecting employers from over-taxation, excess regulation and frivolous litigation is critical to creating jobs and generating revenue for essential state services.
• Limited government leads to unlimited opportunity.
• The government has no business owning companies or financial institutions, and as a general principle should not attempt to do what the private sector can do better.
• Our country can only succeed as a capitalist society that rewards merit rather than cronyism, and the more we drift toward socialism under the false guise of fairness, the more our country will suffer from economic, cultural and social decay.
• The role of the State Chairman is to bring together Republicans throughout the State of Texas as an effective team valuing all individuals' contributions in our efforts to elect Republicans.
